Born in South Africa in 1959 she moved to London to study design and soon began working as a decorator theatre and film design. In 1982, she founded Kelly Hoppen Interiors, her own studio that would lead her to international success.

Kelly Hoppen, a leading figure in interior design known for her sophisticated, minimalist style, minimalist style.

Her style, known as «New Neutrals», is characterised by neutral colours, clean lines and luxurious textures. She creates calm, serene spaces that promote well-being, the philosophy of «less is often more». Kelly Hoppen does not limit her work to private residences. 1982

Founded her own studio “Kelly Hoppen Interiors” after starting her career in theater and film design.

1992

Publication of the book “Kelly Hoppen Interiors”. This book is a best-seller introducing her sophisticated style to the general public. It helped establish her reputation as a leading interior designer.

1997

Launch of his product line with Andrew Martin, for the home with a range of decorative items and furniture that reflect his refined aesthetic.

2007

She has received several awards, including the ELLE Décoration & the Grazia Designer of the Year awards. In 2009, she was awarded the title of MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by the Queen in person.

2013

Participation in the BBC show Dragons’ Den, as a juror. In this reality show, young entrepreneurs entrepreneurs present their business creation projects to a jury of 5 businessmen and women.

2024

Hired by an exclusive client to reimagine an alpine getaway in Champagny-En-Vanoise, a village close to the high-end ski resort of Courchevel, France.

2020

The resort, «LUX Grand Gaube», has been
completely reimagined by Kelly Hoppen with
a retro chic tropical on the north coast of Mauritius.

Collaboration with Leblon Delienne
Mickey et Minnie by Kelly, Mickey #Take2, Mickey With Love XS et Mickey With Love.

Kelly Hoppen has designed Mickey in a neutral taupe and black colour palette, aimed at collectors and design lovers.

It retains its childlike charm with a touch of chrome-plated gold on the ears. Resolutely contemporary and refined, this new creation is adorned with the iconic colours of Kelly Hoppen’s unique style, revealing Mickey in a whole new light!
