A visionary creator and artist, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has anticipated the foundations of new creation by blending art, fashion, subversion, and collaborations. His multidisciplinary work is characterized by a concise color palette of blue, yellow, red, and green. Notably, he dressed Pope John Paul II, bishops, and priests for the World Youth Days in 1997. His fashion and art are infused with his passion for history, childhood, and Pop art. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has collaborated with numerous artists, such as Keith Haring, Lady Gaga, and Robert Mapplethorpe. His art manifests through installations, performances, chalk street art, as well as drawings and paintings. Since 2018, he has been the artistic director for the collections at United Colors of Benetton. Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has also left his mark on fashion by integrating pop culture characters like Mickey Mouse and Snoopy into his designs.
