M. CHAT

This friendly and joyful figure, which appears on walls and rooftops, was inspired by a feline illustration drawn by a young girl during his visit to a class in Orléans in 1997. Vuille aimed to spread this cheerful cat image throughout the streets, with the goal of "bringing humanity and love to the city."

Although M. CHAT may initially appear as a simple cartoon-like logo due to its minimalist design and shape, it represents much more. It delights and captivates as it appears unexpectedly during urban strolls with its bright smile.

Becoming an emblematic figure of French street art, Thoma Vuille gradually extends the image of his yellow companion across various media—whether frontal or profile, winged or simply hanging, or even placed between two chimneys.
