From our norman workshop to the international stage: a look back at the Kokeshi Collection, a remarkable collaboration with José Levy

In 2002, at the Parisian art fair PAD, we unveiled the Kokeshi collection, born from our collaboration with José Levy. "Kokeshi are not just simple lacquered wooden figurines; they carry within them a magic and a playful universe deeply rooted in Japanese culture."

These iconic objects of pop culture have been carefully shaped, textured, and resized by our artisans in our Normandy workshop. Crafted in various shades of black, they combine genuine leather, tatami texture, burnt wood, and lacquered and matte finishes.

Their impressive sizes, reaching up to 280 cm, create a striking visual experience, offering fascinating light effects.

You can also discover this collection in a smaller format, available as a limited edition box set of 99 pieces, featuring five dolls: Nina, Eithan, Gabriel, Sebou, and Paris. Available at www.leblon-delienne.com.

The Kokeshi also exist in digital form! Discover the exclusive José Levy x Leblon Delienne NFTs—a fusion of craftsmanship and digital innovation. Available at: https://lnkd.in/dukZEsGQ.
